Beginner level. This week offers 5 days of snowboarding at La Dôle, at the gateway to the Lake Geneva region. Located 35 minutes from Geneva and 45 minutes from Lausanne, La Dôle mountain is the focal point above Lake Geneva, facing the Alps with a splendid view of Mont Blanc.
Supervised by a local Swiss snowboard instructor, children discover new slopes and improve their snowboarding skills every day while having fun and making new friends. This week is for children who are starting to snowboard. Its goal: to learn to stand, slide, and turn on a snowboard.
Day 1: Parents and children are welcomed at the meeting point. Briefing with the children at the start of the ski lift. Information on the week’s schedule, level check, and group formation. Introductory exercises. Fun games & activities on a snowboard.
Day 2: Safety and prevention on the slopes, respect for others. Group snowboarding and progression exercises. Learning to slide. Fun games & activities on a snowboard.
Day 3: Group snowboarding and progression exercises. First turns. Fun games & activities on a snowboard.
Day 4: Exercises and preparation for the test & medal. Group snowboarding and progression exercises. Fun games & activities on a snowboard.
Day 5: Exercises, test & medal presentation, test booklet, and diploma (optional). Closing of the week with parents and children at the meeting point.

Bring some pocket money (Swiss francs and euros) for any personal expenses (kiosk, ice cream, postcards…etc…) and CHF 12.- per meal if no personal picnic is brought

Ask the responsible instructor during Monday’s briefing (Warning: network coverage is not always good at La Dôle)
Level 1, beginner snowboarder
-1 snowboard with appropriate settings for your child (goofy, regular).
(If you place your left foot forward, you snowboard in a regular stance. Conversely, if you place your right foot forward on the snowboard, you are goofy.)
-1 pair of snowboard boots
-1 pair of ski pants
-1 ski jacket with a hood that protects the face well (in case of wind)
-fleece and warm clothes
-beanie
-helmet mandatory!
-2 pairs of ski gloves or mittens -ski mask (mandatory)
-sunscreen
-sunglasses
-pocket money (Swiss francs)
-the snowboard must have the first and last name on it.
Don’t forget your ID CARD (to put in your ski jacket pocket)! We are crossing the border!
Your child must carry an INFORMATION CARD with their name, first name, address, phone number, and the language they speak.

Supervision is provided by a snowboard instructor. We reserve the right to cancel the week depending on conditions or lack of participants. Snowboard lessons are given in all weather conditions.
Price:
Our prices are per person and include supervision by an instructor, ski pass, booklet, test, and medal.
Group activities:
The number of participants in group activities is calculated per instructor, based on safety criteria for the activity itself. The weeks take place in a good atmosphere and for the well-being of the young people. Non-compliance and actions not conforming to the smooth running of the week will be sanctioned, and the child will be sent home to their parents.
Registration:
A registration is only considered valid upon payment of a registration fee corresponding to the price of the week, which is CHF 490.- per child.
Cancellation:
If, for any reason, a registered person withdraws from an activity, a 100% retention fee will be applied. Any week started will not be refunded except in the case of a medical problem, where a week credit will be opened for the child.
Insurance:
Participants are not insured by the instructor. It is the participant’s responsibility to have adequate health and accident insurance (including accidents that may occur during snowboarding in the mountains). Each participant must have helicopter rescue and repatriation insurance. For participants who do not have such insurance, we offer a formula with REGA to be completed and paid before the camp. Price/person: CHF 30.
Parents’ Responsibility
Parents or the legal representative assume:
– full responsibility for damages caused intentionally or unintentionally to facilities or
other items belonging to or rented by PROGRESSION
– Repatriation costs following an expulsion
– Any postal return fees
Medical file:
Any medical problem must be reported to PROGRESSION in writing. Transport:
